The ARRI Mini Matte Box MMB-2 is a compact, lightweight video production tool designed for filmmakers who need professional light control without adding excessive bulk to their camera rig. It serves as a highly versatile entry point into the ARRI matte box ecosystem, built to prevent unwanted light from hitting the lens and causing flares while accommodating industry-standard effect filters. Designed with a native 114mm clamp-on back, it seamlessly attaches directly to popular cine-style and photography lenses, or it can be easily mounted to standard 15mm LWS (Lightweight Support) rods via a separately available console.

Beyond basic shading, the MMB-2 is built to optimize creative control in the field by supporting up to two filter stages. It accommodates a combination of 4x4-inch, 4.5-inch round, and 4x5.65-inch filters, giving cinematographers the flexibility to stack neutral density filters, polarizers, or diffusion glass. Its fully rotatable 114mm back makes adjusting graduated or polarizing filters effortless, while top flag support and an integrated sunshade ensure optimal flare management during challenging outdoor shoots.
