Description

The ProSplit lets your signal be in two places at once. It provides one direct output and one transformer-isolated output from a single input. The passive design doesnt require power, but the direct output will pass phantom power for use with active microphones. The ProSplit also features a switchable ground lift to reduce noise due to ground loops, and an input pad to accommodate line level sources. When two outputs are better than one, use the ProSplit to connect to both the front-of-house and monitor mixers, for creative parallel processing, or to record a safety track at a lower level in case of clipping. The ARTcessories PROSplit High Performance Microphone Splitter is a professional passive audio splitter designed to distribute a single balanced microphone signal to two separate destinations. It provides one direct XLR output and one transformer-isolated XLR output, allowing a microphone to feed two mixing or recording systems simultaneously. The direct output is connected directly to the microphone input and passes phantom power from the primary mixer, making it suitable for condenser microphones. The transformer-isolated output electrically separates the secondary system to help prevent ground-loop noise and interference.

The PROSplit includes a switchable -29 dB input pad for accommodating higher-level signals and a ground-lift switch on the isolated output. The passive design requires no external power, making it particularly convenient for live sound, recording, broadcast, and production setups. Typical applications include sending the direct output to a front-of-house mixer while routing the isolated output to a monitor or recording mixer. It can also be used for parallel processing or creating a secondary safety recording feed.
