The ne24.24M 8x4 Logic combines a 4x4 base unit with expansion cards and a special General Purpose Logic Output (GPO) card. The 8x4 audio configuration is achieved by adding one 4-channel input card to the base unit's expansion slots. The GPO card occupies one of the unit's expansion slots and adds functionality to trigger external devices like projection screens, curtains, or lights. All configuration and control are done via the Ashly Protea NE Software on a PC over an Ethernet or RS-232 connection. The absence of front-panel controls, combined with multi-level software security, makes the unit tamper-proof. The extensive built-in DSP includes a full suite of functions for each channel, such as equalization, delay, gates, and auto-leveling.
