The Audio-Technica AT829 is a miniature, cardioid condenser lavalier microphone designed for high-quality, unobtrusive sound pickup in professional environments. Its cardioid (unidirectional) polar pattern provides a focused 120° angle of acceptance, which helps reject ambient background noise and minimizes feedback, ensuring high intelligibility for speakers and performers.

The microphone is terminated with a permanently attached 55-inch (1.4 m) cable and is available in different connector configurations (cW, cH, mW) for compatibility with various Audio-Technica UniPak® body-pack wireless transmitters.
