The Aviom AN-16SBR System Bridge is a central hub and distribution module within the Aviom personal mixing ecosystem, designed to route and convert audio signals for large-scale monitoring systems. Its primary function is to take analog audio inputs from a console’s direct outs or subgroup outputs and convert them into the proprietary A-Net digital audio stream for distribution to multiple Aviom personal mixers and other compatible devices. This 1U rackmount unit is the cornerstone for creating scalable, modular monitor systems, commonly used in live sound for musicians on stage, in houses of worship, and in studio environments where multiple performers require individualized control over their monitor mix.

The AN-16SBR provides 16 channels of high-quality analog-to-digital conversion, with each channel featuring gain control and a peak LED for proper level setting from the source console. Once converted, it generates a master A-Net output that carries all 16 channels of digital audio on a single Cat5e cable, dramatically simplifying the stage wiring compared to traditional multi-core analog snake systems. The bridge can also be linked to additional AN-16SBR units or input modules to expand the system to 64 channels, providing ample capacity for complex performances. Its robust clocking ensures low-latency, jitter-free digital audio transmission, which is critical for performers relying on tight timing cues.

Designed for reliability in touring and installed environments, the System Bridge features a rugged metal chassis and intuitive front-panel controls for basic setup. System configuration and more advanced routing are managed via Aviom’s A-Control software, offering deep control over channel assignments and system parameters from a connected computer.
