Blackmagic Design BMD-DV/STUFUS Fusion Studio

$439.00

Utilizing the advantages of a Node-based workflow, Blackmagic Design's Fusion Studio packs the power of a full 2D/3D software-based compositing system into your computer running macOS 10.10 or later, Windows 8, or Windows 10 64-bit. Fusion Studio is resolution independent, supporting images over 32K x 32K with no limits on the output resolution. Fusion Studio takes advantage of GPU acceleration, moving the intense image processing computations away from your system's CPU.

Fusion essentially places an entire VFX studio at your fingertips with keyframe- and spline-based animation tools for controlling the image effects you apply to your footage over time. You can use the keyframe and spline tools to control the included tools, which include Keying and matte tools, particle tools, and vector paint tools. The included 2D and 3D text tools allow you to create and animate text effects from simple to Hollywood-style effects. Fusion also works in 3D space, allowing you to import 3D scenes and models created in other programs, such as Maya, 3ds Max, and Cinema 4D and integrate them into your effects work. Fusion Studio is the paid version of the software, which includes several features that the free version lacks.

About the Blackmagic Design BMD-DV/STUFUS Fusion Studio

The Blackmagic Design Fusion Studio is a professional-grade visual effects, motion graphics, and 3D compositing software application designed for high-end post-production and broadcast graphics creation. It operates as a powerful node-based compositing environment, where complex visual effects workflows are constructed using a network of interconnected tools and processes, offering artists unparalleled flexibility and control over every element of a composite. The software is capable of handling massive resolutions beyond 8K, making it suitable for feature film work, and supports a fully integrated 3D workspace that allows for the creation, rendering, and compositing of 3D models, particles, and environments directly alongside live-action footage. Fusion Studio is renowned for its robust toolset, which includes advanced keying, color correction, paint, rotoscoping, particle systems, and stereoscopic 3D tools, all engineered for high-performance rendering and real-time playback where possible.

Beyond its core compositing strength, Fusion Studio facilitates seamless collaboration through features like networked rendering and version control, enabling teams to work efficiently on shared projects. It is designed to integrate smoothly into professional pipelines, offering extensive support for industry-standard file formats and direct integration with other creative software, including DaVinci Resolve via the built-in Fusion page, as well as third-party applications. While capable of standalone operation for dedicated VFX and motion graphics pipelines, its deep integration within the DaVinci Resolve ecosystem allows editors and colorists to access sophisticated visual effects tools without leaving their primary project timeline. This makes Fusion Studio an essential solution for visual effects artists, graphic designers, and post-production studios tackling the most demanding creative challenges in film, television, and advertising.
