Description

Videohub Master Control Pro allows for very flexible control because it has two main methods for changing cross points on Videohub routers. The simplest way to use Videohub Master Control Pro is for customers to simply select either destination or source and then scroll through all the cross points in the router using the larger knob on the right side of the panel. The built in LCD shows cross points as the user scrolls using large easy to read labels, and scroll order is based on alphabetical order of crosspoint labels so it’s easy to scroll to the crosspoint the customer requires even on a very large router. About the Blackmagic Design BMD-VHUB/WMSTRCRL/PRO Videohub Master Control Pro

Commanding the vast signal traffic of a modern broadcast facility requires more than a routing matrix—it demands a command center. The Blackmagic Design Videohub Master Control Pro fulfills this role, serving as the supreme hardware control surface for the Videohub ecosystem. Its design is one of uncompromising authority, featuring a massive, high-resolution, multi-touch display that renders an interactive, real-time map of every input, output, and patch point across an entire router network—a network that can encompass multiple matrix sizes and even multiple physical units. This visual mapping allows a chief engineer or technical director to see the entire signal landscape at a glance, dragging sources to destinations with intuitive gestures. Flanking the screen are dedicated, hard-wired control panels with buttons, rotary encoders, and faders for direct source selection, bus assignment, and the instant recall of complex multi-destination routing presets, all without relying on the touchscreen.

Built for the relentless pace of a broadcast master control room, every component is chosen for durability and clarity. The unit can be configured to control not just routing, but also multiviewer layouts, monitor wall configurations, and even tally assignments, centralizing control of the facility's core video infrastructure. The ability to create and trigger "macros" allows for single-button execution of elaborate, timed sequences—like switching an entire control room from a live daytime show configuration to a primetime recorded playback setup. In environments where seconds of downtime are unacceptable, the Master Control Pro provides unparalleled situational awareness and decisive control. It transforms the chaotic potential of hundreds of video signals into a manageable, visual interface, ensuring that the most critical decisions in a broadcast plant are made with confidence, speed, and precision.
