About the Sanyo LNS-S20 Standard Zoom Lens

The Sanyo LNS-S20 (which is also cross-branded as the Panasonic ET-ELS20 following Panasonic's acquisition of Sanyo) is a motorized standard zoom lens designed for a specific line of 3LCD professional installation projectors. Because large-venue projectors like the Sanyo PLC-XM150L or PLC-ZM5000L are typically sold as "lens-less" chassis (indicated by the "L" in the model name), AV integrators use the LNS-S20 as the default, versatile middle-ground optic for medium-to-large conference rooms and auditoriums.

Offering a 1.7x magnification ratio, it provides a throw distance of roughly 1.7 to 2.8 times the width of the screen, allowing the projector to be placed comfortably in the middle or back of a room. It fully integrates with the projector's internal motors, allowing the technician to adjust focus and zoom remotely via the projector's remote control rather than climbing a ladder to physically turn the lens barrel.
