About the Christie Spyder X20 Video Processor in 10RU Rack Box

The Christie Spyder X20 is a powerful, hardware-based video processor housed in a 10RU rack-mountable chassis, designed for high-end professional audio-visual applications. It combines the functions of a universal routing switcher, reducing the need for extensive cabling and external hardware. The system offers a 20 megapixel bandwidth, allowing for blending, windowing, mixing, and scaling of various source formats to suit different display configurations, including edge-blended widescreens and multiscreen setups.

The Spyder X20 operates in a resolution and video format-independent environment, providing flexibility beyond the limitations of single sources or displays. It can combine multiple displays to create enhanced resolutions suitable for large-scale presentations. The processor supports up to 16 video layers for manipulation and includes advanced features like key frame effects for dynamic content transitions.

The system includes integrated source monitoring for real-time viewing of input sources on a dedicated monitor. It features low latency (less than 1.5 interlaced frames) and supports a wide range of input and output signals, including analog RGB, DVI, and 3G HD-SDI.
