About the Chrosziel 203-01S Follow Focus

The Chrosziel 203-01S is a professional-grade follow focus system engineered specifically for ENG (Electronic News Gathering) and EFP-style cameras outfitted with standard 15mm lightweight support (LWS) rods. Designed to bring cinematic focus control to traditional broadcast workflows, this unit allows operators to achieve highly precise, repeatable focus adjustments on both Canon and Fujinon video lenses. By providing a smooth, mechanically fluid rotation, the 203-01S is an essential tool for dramatic, commercial, and narrative productions where manual focus accuracy and smooth transitions are critical.

Built for durability and rapid deployment on set, the unit operates as a single-sided handwheel that clamps directly onto 15mm rods, ensuring a rigid and stable connection that won't flex during aggressive focus pulls. While the core 203-01S unit provides the handwheel and standard mounting mechanism, it is designed to be modular and typically requires the addition of a specific Chrosziel drive gear—such as a standard 0.8mm pitch gear—to physically mesh with the lens. This modularity makes it a highly adaptable system for camera operators shifting between different broadcast and cinema lens ecosystems.
