The City Theatrical PDS-750-TR is a rugged, heavy-duty power and data supply designed specifically for touring, rental, and live entertainment environments. Developed in partnership with Color Kinetics (later Philips Color Kinetics), this specialized interface converts standard USITT DMX512 control signals into the proprietary Color Kinetics data format while simultaneously supplying 24VDC power to intelligent solid-state LED luminaires. It features a robust, auto-ranging 750-watt internal power supply that automatically adapts to international voltages ranging from 100V to 240V AC. Housed in a heavy-duty NEMA 1 steel and aluminum enclosure, the unit is intentionally optimized for fast-paced event load-ins, offering integrated mounting points for theatrical C-clamps, pipe mounts, and safety cables.

Operationally, the PDS-750-TR delivers power and data across twelve 4-pin XLR female outputs, giving it the capacity to drive up to 12 ColorBlast 12 or 24 ColorBlast 6 fixtures simultaneously. To protect the system against field hazards, each individual circuit features a 3A current limit and independent short-circuit protection paired with front-panel LED fault indicators for instantaneous troubleshooting. A major workflow advantage of the PDS-750-TR is its built-in addressing capabilities, which utilize three rotary BCD switches to establish a base DMX address, alongside a one-touch "Mini-Zapi" feature that automatically programs connected fixtures sequentially and eliminates the need for external configuration tools. For architectural or standalone applications where a lighting console is absent, the unit includes seven user-configurable fade and chase routines that can be synchronized across multiple daisy-chained supplies via its isolated 5-pin XLR DMX pass-thru port.
