The Cobalt Digital 9061 is a versatile Up/Down/Cross format converter packaged as a card for the industry-standard openGear modular frame system. It is designed to bridge different video production formats by providing high-quality 10-bit digital video processing. The card features universal analog and digital inputs, including HD/SD-SDI, as well as analog and AES digital audio inputs and outputs.

Key functionalities include audio embedding and de-embedding, frame synchronization with tracking audio delay, and comprehensive user audio/video level controls. The converter allows digital adjustment of gain, DC offset, saturation, and hue. A 5-line adaptive comb filter is included for standard definition composite video inputs. For ease of use, the 9061 can be configured and controlled either locally via switches or remotely via a PC serial interface, and it includes an internal color bar generator for setup and testing purposes.
