The P2MMC-USB acts as an interface to connect MIDI-based systems (such as Pro Tools LE, Nuendo, Logic Pro, Cubase, etc.) with timecode- and video-locked RS422 devices, such as vintage multitrack recorders, synchronizers, or video decks. It uses standard MIDI Class drivers, making it "plug-and-play" with Windows and Mac operating systems, without the need for specific drivers. The device translates between MIDI Machine Control (MMC), MIDI Time Code (MTC), Linear Time Code (LTC), and RS422 (Sony 9-pin protocol). It is a versatile tool for post-production environments needing tight synchronization between different types of audio and video equipment.
