The Crestron AM-101 AirMedia is a wireless presentation gateway designed to eliminate the clutter of cables and adapters in small conference rooms, huddle spaces, and classrooms. This compact device enables any meeting participant to share content from their laptop, tablet, or smartphone directly to the room display over the existing Wi-Fi network, fostering seamless collaboration without technical barriers. The AM-101 supports Windows and macOS computers without requiring any software installation, while iOS and Android users simply download the free AirMedia app.

A standout feature of the AM-101 is Quad View mode, which allows up to four participants to display their screens simultaneously, enabling side-by-side comparisons of documents, spreadsheets, or presentations without toggling between sources. Up to 32 users can connect concurrently, with the meeting leader or instructor controlling whose content appears on screen using Moderator Mode via a web interface or Crestron touch screen. For venues requiring simple plug-and-play operation, the optional PIN code authentication ensures that only authorized users can connect to the gateway.

The AM-101 delivers video output resolutions up to Full HD 1080p60 and WUXGA (1920x1200) via its HDMI and VGA outputs. Audio is embedded in the HDMI signal or available through a separate analog stereo output. Content is transmitted using the AirMedia protocol, with typical streaming performance of approximately 15 frames per second depending on network conditions. Network bandwidth requirements range from 0.5 Mbps minimum to 15 Mbps maximum for single-user presentations. The AM-101 integrates with Crestron control systems via Ethernet and can be managed enterprise-wide using Crestron XiO Cloud, SNMP, or Crestron Fusion software.
