Description
The Crestron DMC-HD-DSP HDMI Input Card is a modular input card designed for use with card-based Crestron® DigitalMedia™ Switchers, such as the DM-MD8X8, DM-MD16X16, or DM-MD32X32 models. It provides a single high-performance HDMI® input that handles Full HD 1080p video signals and computer resolutions up to WUXGA, complete with support for HDCP, Deep Color, and 3D. A key feature of the DMC-HD-DSP is its built-in digital signal processing (DSP) for audio downmixing, which enables the simultaneous distribution of multichannel 7.1 surround sound (including Dolby® TrueHD and DTS-HD®) and a 2-channel stereo signal. This is particularly useful in installations where the surround sound signal is sent to a home theater system while a stereo downmix feeds a multi-room audio distribution system or stereo-only displays. The card also includes an HDMI output for local pass-through of the input signal to a local display or an audio processor, as well as an unbalanced stereo analog audio output with programmable volume control. Additionally, a USB HID (Human Interface Device) port is provided, allowing for the extension of mouse and keyboard signals over the network, which is ideal for remote computer control in presentation environments. The card can also function as a standalone problem-solving tool using the optional DMCI DigitalMedia Card Interface. Read more
