The Crestron HD-RX-201-C-E is a highly versatile, surface-mountable DM Lite receiver engineered to pair with a DM Lite transmitter, functioning as a complete point-to-point HDMI signal extender, HD video scaler, and automated room controller. By utilizing a single CAT5e or better twisted pair cable, it reliably receives high-definition video and audio signals from a transmitter up to 230 feet (70 meters) away. Distinctively, the unit also includes its own local HDMI input. This allows it to act as an integrated 2x1 auto-switcher, enabling users to seamlessly connect a local device—such as a mini PC, Apple TV, or Crestron AirMedia wireless system—directly at the display location without needing to route back to the main transmitter.

Equipped with a built-in professional HD scaler, the HD-RX-201-C-E ensures that all connected video sources are perfectly optimized to the display's native resolution (up to Full HD 1080p and WUXGA), effectively eliminating input compatibility issues, black screens, or image artifacts. It natively handles advanced audio formats including Dolby Digital, DTS, and 8-channel LPCM, while providing a dedicated analog stereo audio output with up to 150 ms of adjustable lip-sync delay to feed a local soundbar or room amplifier. Comprehensive display control is achieved through CEC, RS-232, IR, and an onboard Ethernet connection, allowing for easy web browser setup or seamless integration into a larger Crestron control system.
