The Crestron PWE-4803RU is a professional-grade power injector designed to provide power (up to 15.4 watts, compliant with IEEE 802.3af standard) and network connectivity over a single CAT5e/CAT6 cable. This unit is used in installations where the network switch does not natively support PoE, or where power needs to be added to an existing data line to power remote devices like Crestron touch panels, control processors, IP cameras, or wireless access points. It operates by injecting 48V DC power onto the unused pairs of the Ethernet cable. The compact, rugged design makes it easy to install in tight spaces or mount in a rack using an optional bracket.
