Unlike traditional infrared remotes, the TSR-310 provides two-way communication, displaying real-time metadata such as song titles, thermostat readings, security camera views, or custom feedback directly on the screen. Embedded haptic technology delivers confirmational tactile pulses upon touch inputs, while an accelerometer enables instant wake-on-pickup functionality, eliminating startup delays for seamless operation.

The TSR-310 connects via standard 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands), supporting both Crestron's proprietary Cresnet infrastructure and the streamlined Crestron Home platform. A rechargeable 1900 mAh lithium-ion battery provides three to five days of typical use and recharges through the included drop-in cradle or USB-C port. The ergonomic chassis features 21 programmable backlit buttons arranged for single-handed operation, including transport controls, volume rocker, and five context-sensitive soft keys. Ambient light sensors automatically adjust screen and button backlighting for optimal visibility in dark home theaters or bright conference rooms.

Built for professional reliability, the TSR-310 operates in temperatures from 0°C to 40°C and is constructed from polycarbonate ABS with a soft-touch paint finish.
