The CTs 1200 features independent selection of constant-voltage (70V/100V) or low-impedance (2, 4, 8, 16 ohm) operation per channel without requiring any internal switches, allowing the same amplifier to drive distributed speaker systems and direct low-impedance loads simultaneously. Each channel delivers 600 watts into 4 ohms, 8 ohms, and 70V/100V constant-voltage lines, with 300 watts into 2 ohms and 16 ohms. In bridge-mono mode, the amplifier produces 1200 watts into 8 ohms, 16 ohms, 100V, 140V, or 200V constant-voltage configurations.

The amplifier employs Crown's legendary Class AB+B output topology, combining the efficiency of Class B with the low distortion characteristics of Class A.
