The DBX 266XL is an easy-to-use, professional two-channel compressor/limiter/gate that can also be run in stereo-link mode. Building on the legacy of previous DBX models, it features patented OverEasy® and AutoDynamic™ technologies. The OverEasy function provides a smooth, musical transition into compression, avoiding the abrupt "pumping" sound of typical hard-knee compressors, which makes it suitable for program material, vocals, or acoustic instruments. The AutoDynamic function ensures a smooth attack/release response tailored to the audio material, even with simplified single-knob controls.
