The unit monitors the health of both incoming digital audio feeds in real-time, checking for loss of signal, excessive errors, or loss of word clock, and performs a seamless, glitch-free switch to the healthy stream, often in a matter of microseconds.

The redundancy engine is designed to be inserted at a key point in the signal chain, such as between a DiGiCo console and a broadcast transmission encoder, a recording system, or the main PA drive system.
