The Disguise VX4 is a flagship professional media server engineered for the most demanding live event, virtual production, broadcast, and immersive installation applications. Designed from the ground up for high-end touring and permanent integration, the VX4 delivers uncompressed 4K60 playback across up to four simultaneous streams using its high-performance NVMe RAID drive array, while also supporting lossless 10-bit video playback for superior visual fidelity. The server can simultaneously capture either sixteen 3G-SDI sources or four 4K60 sources (2160p60), enabling complex multi-camera workflows and real-time content ingest during live shows.

The VX4 features Disguise's proprietary VFC (Video Format Converter) technology, shipping standard with four HDMI 2.0 VFC output cards that support resolutions up to 4096 x 2160. These hot-swappable cards allow users to mix output formats including DisplayPort, DVI, SDI, or HDMI within the same project without changing hardware, with guaranteed frame synchronization and near-zero latency. The server also supports HDR content with real-time color space and gamma curve conversion, allowing seamless integration of high-dynamic-range sources into productions.

Built for extreme reliability on the road, the VX4 features a cross-braced stiff chassis with isolated core components to withstand vibration and shock encountered during touring. The redesigned back panel includes dual 25GbE and dual 10GbE Ethernet ports for faster media file transfers and higher-resolution networked live video capture. A high-resolution OLED front panel provides detailed system information at a glance. The server is powered by dual Intel Xeon Gold processors running at 3.2GHz, 96GB of DDR4 RAM, and defaults to 8TB of NVMe storage configurable as RAID 10 for data redundancy. The 4U rack-mountable chassis weighs 21kg and operates within a temperature range of 5-35°C.
