The onboard media server runs Windows XP Embedded with Collage™ software and is controlled via DMX512 or Art-Net. About the DL.2 Digital Light Moving Head Light w/ Mounting Brackets (DISPLAY ISSUES) in Wheeled Road Case

The High End Systems DL.2 Digital Light is a groundbreaking hybrid fixture that merged automated moving head lighting with professional video projection and an onboard digital media server. Released in the mid-2000s, the DL.2 fundamentally changed live event production by allowing lighting designers to treat high-resolution video content as a highly controllable, movable beam of light. Housed within a motorized yoke, the fixture contains a 5,000-lumen projector engine, a high-performance Windows XP-based media server, and an integrated IR/color camera system.

Because the media server is housed directly inside the head, it eliminates the need for expensive external video routing and massive cable runs. Operators use standard lighting consoles to manipulate 3D graphical objects, apply visual effects, load custom movies, and pan/tilt the video image across a venue seamlessly.
