The Epiphan Pearl Rackmount Twin is comprised of two completely independent Pearl live production video mixer systems, with double the inputs and outputs, in a 2 RU form factor. The Pearl Rackmount Twin lets you efficiently capture, switch, stream, and record video. With advanced automatic channel creation and two front panel touchscreen displays, setup is very simple. Simply plug in power and one or two sources to see your captured stream on the displays, connect to a network, and start streaming right away.

About the Epiphan Pearl Rackmount Twin Live Production Video Mixer

The Epiphan Pearl Rackmount Twin is a professional all-in-one live video production system that integrates switching, encoding, recording, and streaming capabilities into a dense 2U rackmount chassis containing two completely independent Pearl-2 systems. This high-density design is ideal for mission-critical applications where redundant backup is required or where rack space is at a premium—one system can record full-resolution ISO feeds while the other performs live switching and streaming of the final program. Each Pearl-2 unit features six video inputs (including 12G-SDI, 4K HDMI, standard HDMI, and USB video), plus professional XLR and RCA audio inputs for mixing console integration. The sixth-generation Intel i7 processor provides ample power for encoding up to six simultaneous 1080p30 streams or two 1080p60 streams per system, with 4K UHD output available via an optional add-on license.

Setup and operation are streamlined through multiple control interfaces. The front-panel touchscreen provides immediate access to live switching, confidence monitoring, recording control, and streaming status without requiring a separate computer. For remote or web-based administration, the built-in Admin panel offers a drag-and-drop layout editor for creating picture-in-picture and custom multi-view compositions, while the Epiphan Live mobile interface allows tablet-based production control from anywhere on the local network. Streaming destinations include YouTube, Facebook, and any RTMP/RTMPS-compatible CDN, with enterprise features such as SRT encryption, HLS over HTTPS, and 802.1x network security. The internal 512GB SSD stores hundreds of hours of HD recordings, with automatic file transfer options to USB drives, network storage (FTP, SFTP, CIFS, AWS), or WebDAV servers. Additional features include a front-panel 3.5mm headphone jack with on-screen VU metering, dual 4K HDMI outputs for confidence monitoring, and an open API for RS-232 or HTTP integration into existing automation systems.
