The Epiphan Video Webcaster X2 is a compact, purpose-built live streaming encoder designed to eliminate the complexity of computer-based streaming workflows for professional broadcasters, houses of worship, event producers, and content creators. By connecting an HDMI video source such as a camcorder, DSLR, or production switcher directly to the device, users can stream high-definition content to major platforms like Facebook Live, YouTube, and Twitch without the need for a laptop, capture card, or complicated software configuration. The encoder handles all video processing internally, converting the HDMI input into an H.264 stream ready for broadcast across the internet.

Despite its small footprint, measuring just 4.6 by 4.9 by 1 inch and weighing 0.6 pounds, the Webcaster X2 delivers professional-grade encoding with support for 1080p30 output resolution and selectable bitrates up to 4,000 Kb/s. The front-panel LCD or an external HDMI monitor with a USB mouse provides intuitive access to stream settings, platform pairing, and broadcast controls. A standout feature of the Webcaster X2 is its ability to overlay real-time chat comments from Facebook Live or YouTube onto the HDMI output, allowing presenters to read audience interaction on a confidence monitor while staying engaged on camera. Please note that the Epiphan Webcaster X2 has reached its End of Life (EOL) as of March 17, 2020, and is no longer in production.
