What is the driver configuration on the SC3012?

Do I need an external amplifier to run these monitors?

No. The SC3012 is fully active. Each driver is powered by its own dedicated PWM amplifier: an 800W amp for the woofer and 250W amps for both the midrange driver and the tweeter.

Can the speaker be positioned horizontally as well as vertically?

Yes. The silver module in the center of the speaker, which houses the midrange driver and tweeter, can be rotated 90 degrees. This guarantees a stable, accurate stereo image whether the monitor is standing up or lying on its side.

Does the SC3012 support flush-mount or in-wall installations?

Yes, the SC3012 is built with in-wall installations in mind. You simply adjust the built-in filter controls to "in-wall" mode, and EVE Audio provides high-density foam plugs to securely close the rear-firing bass ports.

How does the DSP system work in the SC3012?

The speaker feeds incoming analog signals through high-quality Burr-Brown 24-bit/192kHz A/D converters into a high-resolution DSP engine. This ensures precise, latency-free filtering and equalization tailored specifically to your control room.

How do you adjust the monitor's settings and EQ?

All volume control, high/low shelf filters, and desk filter settings are easily adjusted via the SMART-knob. This is a single push-knob with an LED ring located on the front of the speaker.

Will my settings be lost if the speaker loses power?

No. The SMART-knob settings feature a parameter lock and are automatically saved. There are also dip switches on the rear to physically lock filter and volume settings to prevent accidental changes.

What kind of audio connections are available?

For maximum flexibility and convenience, the monitor offers one electronically balanced XLR input and one unbalanced RCA input.
