Evertz 7700FR-C Multriframe Media Server

The Evertz 7700FR-C is a professional-grade, 3-rack-unit (3RU) Multiframe chassis that serves as the physical and electrical backbone for Evertz's massive library of modular broadcast processing cards. Designed for mission-critical operations in television studios, cable headends, and mobile production trucks, this heavy-duty frame provides power, cooling, and high-speed backplane communication for up to 15 individual modules from both the Evertz 7700 and newer 7800 series. These hot-swappable cards can handle a vast array of tasks, ranging from basic video distribution and format conversion to fiber optic transmission, IP gateways, and frame synchronization.

To ensure 24/7 reliability in a live broadcast environment, the 7700FR-C is equipped with dual redundant, hot-swappable power supplies and a front-extractable cooling fan module, meaning a hardware failure will not take a broadcast off the air. The chassis also features a built-in dual-genlock architecture, allowing reference sync signals (such as black burst or tri-level sync) to be distributed directly through the backplane to all installed cards, eliminating the need for messy external sync cables. Furthermore, when equipped with an optional 7700FC VistaLINK Frame Controller card, the entire chassis connects to the facility's network, giving engineers remote SNMP monitoring, configuration, and global status alarms for every card housed inside.
