EWA Rear AB7473 Adapter BAR WLL 1

The EAW AB7473 is a specialized, structural aluminum rigging adapter bar designed to seamlessly transition a flown line array from larger KF740 loudspeakers down to smaller KF730 (or KF7373) loudspeakers. In large-scale touring and arena installations, audio engineers frequently use the smaller KF730 boxes as "down-fills" at the bottom of a main array to cover the audience members sitting closest to the stage. The AB7473 adapter bar safely bridges the mechanical gap between these two differently sized cabinets while maintaining the correct acoustic splay angles.

Regarding its Working Load Limit (WLL), EAW rigging is engineered with a strict >10:1 safety design factor. According to EAW’s engineering specifications and CE declarations, when using the AB7473 adapter to underhang boxes, the specific load limit dictates that a maximum of six (6) KF730 enclosures can be safely suspended beneath a single AB7473 bar. Furthermore, the combined weight of the entire mixed array (the top flybar, all KF740s, the adapter bar, and all KF730s) must never exceed the WLL of the primary grid at the top of the chain (such as the EAW FB174 Flybar, which has a WLL of 1,710 lbs / 776 kg).
