Description

The Extron DTP HDMI 230 Rx is a digital twisted pair receiver designed to work with Extron DTP-enabled products for extending HDMI, audio, and bidirectional control signals over long distances. It receives HDMI signals with embedded multi-channel audio, plus bidirectional RS-232 and IR control signals, up to 230 feet (70 meters) over a single shielded CATx cable. The receiver also accepts analog stereo audio from a DTP-enabled product over the same twisted pair connection, eliminating the need for separate analog audio cabling.

Housed in a compact 1-inch high, quarter rack width metal enclosure, the DTP HDMI 230 Rx is ideal for discreet placement behind flat-panel displays, in lecterns, or above ceilings. It supports video resolutions up to 4K, with HDMI specification features including data rates up to 10.2 Gbps, Deep Color up to 12-bit, 3D, HD lossless audio formats, and CEC pass-through. The unit is HDCP 2.3 compliant, ensuring compatibility with protected content while maintaining interoperability with earlier HDCP versions. For simplified installation, the receiver can be remotely powered over the twisted pair connection by a DTP-enabled product, allowing both devices to share one power supply.
