Extron DXP 88 DVI PRO Digital Crosspoint Matrix Switcher

The Extron DXP 88 DVI Pro is a high-performance 8x8 digital video matrix switcher designed to seamlessly route DVI-D signals in professional AV environments, medical imaging facilities, and command centers. It allows up to eight single-link DVI-D sources (such as computers, servers, or media players) to be routed independently or simultaneously to any combination of eight connected DVI displays. Built strictly to handle the rigorous requirements of digital video routing, the DXP 88 DVI Pro ensures bit-for-bit, uncompressed signal integrity at resolutions up to 1920x1200 and 1080p.

To combat the notorious handshaking issues associated with digital video, this matrix switcher is equipped with Extron’s proprietary EDID Minder and Key Minder technologies. EDID Minder actively maintains continuous EDID communication with all connected sources, ensuring they boot up properly and output the optimal resolution for the displays. Key Minder continuously authenticates and maintains HDCP encryption across all inputs and outputs, allowing for seamless, tear-free switching of protected content without waiting for re-authentication. Additionally, the unit features automatic input cable equalization and output signal reclocking, which actively conditions the DVI signals to maintain pristine image quality over longer cable runs.
