About the Fotodiox Lens Mount Adapter

The Fotodiox Lens Mount Adapter MFT-SNE is a manual lens mount adapter designed to mount Micro Four Thirds (MFT / Micro-4/3) manual-focus lenses onto Sony Alpha E-mount mirrorless camera bodies. It is intended primarily for third-party manual-focus MFT lenses rather than electronically controlled OEM MFT lenses.

The adapter provides a fully mechanical connection and maintains infinity focus. Because it does not provide electronic communication between the lens and camera, autofocus, automatic aperture control, electronic image stabilization, and other electronically controlled lens functions are not available through the adapter. Manual focus and manual exposure, or aperture-priority stop-down metering where supported by the camera, are required.

Fotodiox specifies an all-metal construction using industrial-grade aluminum for the adapter. It is designed for Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras and is compatible with a wide range of Sony Alpha E-mount bodies. On full-frame Sony cameras, MFT lenses may not cover the entire sensor area, so crop-sensor mode may be required to avoid vignetting.
