The Gefen EXT-DVIK-MV-41 is a highly specialized 4x1 DVI KVM Multiview Switcher designed for complex control rooms, server environments, and broadcast monitoring stations. It enables operators to seamlessly control and monitor up to four individual computers from a single dual-screen workstation. What makes this switcher unique is its dual-display output architecture: one monitor is dedicated to displaying a highly customizable "Multiview" layout (showing up to four computer screens simultaneously), while the second monitor can instantly switch to a full-screen view of any single computer that requires immediate, closer attention.

Beyond basic video routing, the EXT-DVIK-MV-41 provides comprehensive USB and audio management. It independently routes your keyboard, mouse, two front-panel USB peripheral ports, and bi-directional analog audio (microphone and headphones/speakers) between any of the connected computers. It supports high-definition digital DVI resolutions up to 1920x1200 (WUXGA) and 1080p Full HD. For large-scale enterprise deployments, up to eight of these units can be daisy-chained together via RS-232, allowing a single operator to manage an elaborate 32-computer network from one keyboard and mouse. The entire system is easily configured through an intuitive On-Screen Display (OSD) and can be controlled via front-panel buttons, keyboard hotkeys, or an external RS-232 automation system.
