It serves as a space-saving alternative to larger rack-mounted matrixes, supporting resolutions up to 4K Cinema (DCI) at 4096 x 2160 pixels and Ultra HD (3840 x 2160 pixels) at 30 Hz (4:4:4 color space) or 60 Hz (4:2:0 color space). This matrix is ideal for a wide range of applications, including home theaters, sports bars, retail displays, and commercial AV installations that require the distribution of high-definition, HDCP-compliant content.

A key feature of this device is Gefen's proprietary Fast Switching Technology (FST), which significantly reduces the typical, often lengthy, HDMI authentication process. This ensures quicker source switching and prevents disruptions to other displays in the system when one display is connected, disconnected, or powered on/off.
