The Grass Valley Gecko 8900 Series is a professional modular signal processing platform designed for broadcast, production, and post-production facilities. Rather than being a standalone media server, the 8900 Series is a 2RU modular frame system that accepts a wide range of Grass Valley 8900 Series processing modules for video, audio, timing, synchronization, conversion, distribution, and monitoring applications. The frame supports up to ten plug-in modules and is available in video and balanced-audio configurations with optional Ethernet-based monitoring and control. Featuring redundant-capable power options, intelligent cooling, and network management, the Gecko 8900 Series provides a flexible, scalable infrastructure for television studios, OB trucks, master control rooms, and professional broadcast facilities.
