About the Heil RC 22 Mic Capsules (Black Replacement Grill)

The Heil RC 22 is a dynamic wireless microphone capsule designed to thread onto popular wireless handheld transmitters, effectively upgrading them to deliver the signature sound of Heil’s wired PR 22 microphone. Designed heavily for live vocal performance, the RC 22 is prized for its exceptionally wide frequency response and superior rear noise rejection, which helps eliminate feedback on loud stages and prevents bleed from cymbals and monitors.

Regarding the Black Replacement Grill, Heil Sound designs their capsules with rugged, interchangeable wire mesh grilles. You can purchase the RC 22 capsule natively with a black grille (along with silver or gold options), or you can purchase the black replacement grille individually if your current capsule has been dropped, dented, or you simply want to change its aesthetic. Unscrewing the old grill and installing a replacement is a simple, toolless process that instantly refreshes the look and protection of the capsule.
