The Hoya 67mm Circular Polarizing (PL-CIR) filter is a standard threaded optical glass filter designed to actively manage reflections, boost contrast, and enhance overall color saturation in outdoor photography. It includes a hard plastic protective case for safe storage when not mounted on the lens.

Because shooting outdoors often results in washed-out skies, atmospheric haze, and harsh, distracting glare bouncing off water or glass, landscape and architectural photographers need a way to control how light enters the lens. The Hoya PL-CIR solves this by utilizing a specialized foil sandwiched between the optical glass that blocks light rays that have become polarized by reflection. This allows a photographer to literally "see through" the surface of a lake, eliminate the glare on a car windshield, and dramatically darken blue skies to make white clouds pop.
