About the IDX CW-5HD WElectro-Voicei Cam-Wave (5GHz) Wireless HD Video Transmitter & Receiver in Original Box

The IDX CW-5HD Cam-Wave is an uncompressed, 5GHz wireless high-definition video transmission system engineered to send zero-latency HD-SDI video from a moving camera directly to a video village monitor or live broadcast switcher. Serving as a foundational tool for Steadicam operators and live sports crews, it was designed to cut the BNC cord without sacrificing the pristine signal quality required for broadcast television.

Because tethering a physical cable to a camera completely restricts an operator's movement and ruins a gimbal's physical isolation, the CW-5HD utilizes 5GHz MIMO technology to transmit 4:2:2 video without the heavy digital compression artifacts or noticeable frame delays found in standard Wi-Fi setups. Crucially, both the transmitter (TX) and receiver (RX) feature an integrated V-Mount "sandwich" design. This allows the transmitter to seamlessly lock in between the back of the camera and a standard V-Mount battery, drawing power and passing it through to the camera without requiring messy external D-Tap cables.
