Juicebox JB-JBDP-SK1 External Battery Pack for Nikon NP-FW50-Type Battery (7.4v, 4800 mAh)

The Juicebox JB-JBDP-SK1 is an external high-capacity battery pack designed as a universal power solution for cameras and other portable devices that utilize the popular Sony NP-FW50-type lithium-ion battery platform. This unit functions as a dual-role device, serving both as a portable power bank for extended runtime and as a desktop charger for the included or user-provided NP-FW50 battery. Its primary value lies in significantly extending shooting time for photographers and videographers, far beyond the typical capacity of a single internal battery. With a substantial 4800mAh rated capacity at 7.4V, it provides multiple full charges for a standard NP-FW50 battery, enabling uninterrupted operation during long shooting sessions, time-lapse projects, or all-day events where access to AC power is limited or unavailable.

Constructed with a durable plastic housing, the battery pack features a clear, informative LCD screen that displays critical operational data. This includes the remaining charge percentage of the internal bank, the charging status and progress of the inserted camera battery, and the current voltage output. It includes multiple output ports to power equipment directly: a dummy battery (DC coupler) that inserts into the camera's battery compartment to supply continuous power, and a USB-A output port for charging or powering ancillary devices like monitors, LED lights, or smartphones. The intelligent charging circuitry manages the safe charging of both the internal bank and the external battery, incorporating standard protections against over-current, over-voltage, short-circuit, and over-temperature scenarios.

The pack offers versatile recharging options, as its own internal battery can be replenished via a supplied AC adapter or a micro-USB input, allowing for convenient top-ups from a power bank or laptop. This flexibility makes it an indispensable tool for field production, documentary filmmaking, and travel photography. By consolidating extended power supply and battery charging into a single, compact unit, the Juicebox JB-JBDP-SK1 provides a reliable and efficient power management system, reducing the need to carry and manage multiple individual batteries and chargers, thereby streamlining workflow and enhancing productivity for content creators on the move.
