Each camera's video, audio, intercom, control data, and power are multiplexed onto a single strand of single-mode fiber, which is then demultiplexed by the base station into standard broadcast outputs such as 3G/HD-SDI video, XLR audio, and data interfaces for seamless integration into a production switcher, audio console, and camera control unit.

The base station excels in providing long-distance transmission with zero latency and no loss of quality, enabling camera placement hundreds of meters or even kilometers from the production control room—a critical capability for large-scale event coverage, stadium sports, and outdoor broadcasts. It features a comprehensive set of reverse-path functionalities, sending intercom, program return video, tally, and camera control signals from the production hub back to each camera operator over the same fiber link.
