Description

The Second Shooter PRO Slide/Pan/Tilt System features the Kessler Crane Second Shooter controller, a slider motor, and pan/tilt head combo, altogether allowing 3-axis repeatable motion control with up to 10 keyframes on each axis. The slider motor is compatible with the Kessler CineSlider, Stealth, and Philip Bloom sliders. The pan/tilt head mounts on the slider via mounting threads on the bottom. Both connect to the controller using included Cat 5 cables. A companion iOS/Android app works from up to 200' away over Wi-Fi and lets you adjust settings and remotely operate the system. Also, optional camera-specific Kessler cables, such as MFR#s MC1017 and MC1035, can be used for time-lapse and stop-motion capture. Read more

The Kessler Crane Second Shooter PRO is a highly versatile, professional-grade 3-axis motion control system designed for filmmakers, time-lapse photographers, and visual effects artists. Acting as an automated robotic camera operator, the complete system typically consists of a central PRO controller brain, a motorized Pan/Tilt head, and a slider motor that mounts to one of Kessler’s compatible linear sliders (like the CineSlider or Pocket Dolly).

Because smooth, repeatable camera movement is incredibly difficult to execute perfectly by hand over multiple takes, the Second Shooter PRO allows a solo operator to program precise, complex camera paths. It is widely used to run automated, looping B-roll cameras during multi-cam interviews, capture dynamic motion time-lapses over several hours, or execute perfectly repeatable passes for VFX plate compositing. The "PRO" designation signifies major upgrades over the legacy Second Shooter system, including an integrated Wi-Fi module for wireless software control and a much more rugged, ergonomic chassis.
