Klark Teknik KT-VNET2-AES Interface VNET2 Connection Interface for AES3

$229.00

The VNET2-AES is a rack-mountable break in interface for connecting an AES3 source to the VNET network with minimum complication. The interface allows the facility of transporting 2 channels (1 AES3 stream) of high quality uncompressed digital audio on the same cable as the control network. Capable of driving up to a 600 m (1,968 feet) network, VNET2-AES interface should be used in conjunction with a USB-232 or Ethernet Interface, providing the PC user with complete control, tuning and diagnostics for all devices in the network. Like VNET and other similar networks, VNET2 uses Cat5 cabling without requiring any other network equipment such as hubs. The rugged steel enclosure and Ethercon connectors ensure the VNET2-AES interface will provide a long lifetime of reliable service.

About the Klark Teknik KT-VNET2-AES Interface VNET2 Connection Interface for AES3

The Klark Teknik KT-VNET2-AES is a dedicated interface unit that provides a seamless digital audio bridge between the VNET2 networking ecosystem and standard AES3 (AES/EBU) digital audio equipment. It facilitates the integration of external digital signal processors, recording devices, broadcast gear, and other professional audio components that utilize the common AES3 protocol into a proprietary VNET2 audio network. This enables system designers to expand and hybridize their audio infrastructure without being locked into a single manufacturer's entire signal chain.

Functioning as a bidirectional converter, the module transparently transfers digital audio signals while maintaining synchronization integrity. It allows VNET2 systems to send and receive high-quality, uncompressed digital audio channels to and from the wider world of professional AES3-compatible gear. This is particularly valuable in fixed installations, performing arts venues, and broadcast facilities where legacy or specialized AES3 equipment must coexist with a modern, centrally managed VNET2 audio network for distribution and control.

The interface is designed for straightforward rackmount installation, featuring robust XLR connectors for AES3 I/O and a dedicated port for connection to the VNET2 network. Its operation is typically focused on reliability and signal transparency, requiring minimal configuration. By offering this connectivity, the KT-VNET2-AES enhances the flexibility and investment protection of a VNET2-based system, allowing it to serve as a central audio hub while interfacing with critical external digital audio devices.
