Machined from aerospace-grade aluminum alloy, the KB-Canon-BaseRig is built to be robust and durable. The key component is the dedicated full cage, which provides a secure, four-sided exoskeleton for the camera, preventing unwanted twisting and protecting it from impacts. The base of the cage features an Arca-Swiss compatible plate, allowing for fast and easy mounting on compatible tripods or gimbals. 
The rig also includes a NATO-mounted top handle with a trigger button for controlling the camera's start/stop recording function. The handle itself has multiple accessory mounts, including a 15mm rod port and multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads. The included 15mm LWS baseplate is compatible with industry-standard 15mm rods and features a Manfrotto 501-standard quick-release plate. The included 15mm rods can be used to mount accessories like follow focus systems, matte boxes, and servo motors. The rig maintains access to all of the camera's buttons, dials, ports, and battery compartment.
