The Kopul MuteMate-2x2 is a professional momentary microphone mute/talk switch designed for dynamic and condenser microphones in broadcast, recording, conferencing, presentation, and live audio environments. It provides convenient push-to-mute and push-to-talk operation, allowing users to temporarily silence a microphone or activate it only while the button is pressed. Its passive signal-path design allows it to operate without an external power supply.

The unit provides 3-pin XLR input and output connections for integration between a microphone and a mixer, audio interface, recorder, sound system, or workstation. A selectable Dynamic/Condenser mode accommodates both microphone types, while the condenser setting allows phantom power to pass through to compatible condenser microphones. The switch can also be used with compatible inline signal boosters and preamplifiers.

A large momentary button provides quick access to the selected mute or talk function, while an integrated status LED indicates when the MuteMate is active. In mute operation, the microphone signal is attenuated by 60 dB, helping prevent unwanted coughs, side conversations, or background speech from reaching the audience or recording system. Talk mode can also serve as a convenient talkback control in studio environments.

The MuteMate-2x2 features a rugged steel housing, nonslip rubber feet, and mounting holes for permanent installation on podiums, walls, workstations, or other suitable surfaces. Its compact form factor also allows it to function as a desktop control or foot switch, making it a practical addition to professional communication and audio-control setups.
