The Kramer VM-4HDCPxl is a professional-grade 1:4 distribution amplifier (DA) designed specifically for DVI-D video signals. Functioning as a high-performance active splitter, it takes a single DVI video input—such as a computer presentation, media server, or digital signage player—and distributes it identically to four separate displays simultaneously.

Because passively splitting a digital video signal causes immediate picture failure, and sending commercial video (like movies) to multiple screens often triggers anti-piracy HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) blackouts, AV integrators require intelligent routing hardware. The VM-4HDCPxl solves these issues by actively regenerating the digital signal to prevent data loss over long cable runs, while simultaneously managing the complex HDCP handshakes between the source and all four destination monitors.
