Leader 5100D Multiformat Waveform Monitor

$139.84

The LV-5100D is a video measurement monitor; it accepts and measures SDI signals and analog component video signals such as RGB and Y Pb Pr. With numerous features, this device will allow the user to keep an operation active during a digital changover; while still being able to read an analog component signal for conversion or post production applications.

View Product Features

  • This unit has the ability to accept and measure SDI digital video signals along with component analog.
  • Analog component signals can be read and measured along with SDI.
  • This device will read and display waveform and vectorscope information; Digital key allows this unit to read data stream in terms of cable length, ANC presence and EDH error detection.
  • For audio monitoring this device has the ability to show an X-Y stereo display.
  • 10 preset measurements can be stored and recalled for quick application change and viewing. This allows multiple users to utilize this device without a full set-up.
  • Local and remote alarms may be triggered by the operator's choice of monitoring parameters; this works great for transmitter and cable head end monitoring.
  • Some SDI signals have embedded audio within the blanking; this unit will detect this audio and display a signal representation.
  • When working in SDI, 525/60Hz and 625/50Hz are able to be accessed; in analog NTSC and PAL standards are automatically detected and displayed.

About the Leader 5100D Multiformat Waveform Monitor

The Leader 5100D Multiformat Waveform Monitor is a professional video measurement instrument designed to work with both SDI digital and analog component video signals, making it suitable for facilities transitioning between formats or working in mixed operations. It provides comprehensive monitoring capabilities including waveform, vectorscope, timing, and picture displays.

This device offers a variety of display modes, such as overlaid and parade waveforms (side by side display of Y, Pb, Pr components), and a vector display with electronic tolerance-limit targets for chroma accuracy. The monitor features a line select function with an adjustable window, memory storage for up to 10 user-defined test setups, and automatic detection of NTSC and PAL standards in analog mode. For digital signals, it includes a "Digital key" that enables data stream analysis, including cable length equivalent, ANC (Active Native Component) presence, and EDH (Error Detection and Handling) error detection.

The Leader LV 5100D also supports audio monitoring with an X-Y stereo display and can detect embedded audio within SDI signals. It is equipped with local and remote alarm features, which can be triggered by user-selected monitoring parameters, making it useful for continuous monitoring in broadcast and post-production environments. The unit is a half-rack size device and is a flexible solution for various video production and engineering needs.
