Because upgrading an older security infrastructure to modern IP (network) cameras usually requires ripping out existing wiring—a massive expense in time and labor—many property owners need a way to achieve HD video over their legacy cables. The DV708 solves this by utilizing MPX technology. It is capable of transmitting uncompressed 1080p high-definition video over standard RG59 coaxial (BNC) cables, making it the perfect drop-in replacement "brain" to upgrade an aging standard-definition surveillance system without rewiring the building.
