The M-Audio Fast Track Ultra 8R is a professional 1RU rackmount USB 2.0 audio and MIDI interface designed to provide comprehensive tracking capabilities for home studios and mobile recording rigs.

Because recording a full acoustic drum kit or capturing a live band session simultaneously requires a significant number of discrete microphone inputs, producers are often forced to buy expensive external ADAT preamps to supplement standard desktop interfaces. The Fast Track Ultra 8R solves this by packing eight of M-Audio's award-winning Octane preamps into a single chassis. This allows an engineer to plug in eight microphones and track an entire band directly into their digital audio workstation (DAW) over a single high-speed USB connection, all while utilizing the unit's onboard DSP to create latency-free monitor mixes.
