Mackie SPM300 Speaker Pole for DLM12S

The Mackie SPM300 is a professional telescoping speaker pole engineered to provide a secure and adjustable mounting solution for pairing a full-range loudspeaker with the Mackie DLM12S powered subwoofer. This accessory is integral to creating a compact, vertical sound system ideal for mobile DJs, musicians, and presenters who require efficient setup and optimal sound dispersion. Constructed from high-strength steel with a durable black finish, the pole is designed to support substantial weight safely, ensuring stability during transport and performance. Its telescoping mechanism allows the user to extend the pole to place the top-mounted speaker at the ideal listening height for the audience, which is typically between 4 to 6 feet above the subwoofer, and then lock it securely in place with a positive pin-lock system to prevent slippage or rotation during use.

Installation is tool-free and straightforward, leveraging industry-standard mounting hardware. The bottom of the SPM300 features a precision 35mm male threaded insert that screws directly into the reinforced pole socket on the top of the DLM12S subwoofer. The top of the pole has a standard 35mm internal socket designed to accept the threaded insert found on the bottom of most compatible powered and passive speakers, including Mackie's DLM and SRM series. This universal design ensures a rigid, wobble-free connection that effectively transfers the vibrational energy between the cabinets. The pole's robust construction is critical for safely handling the dynamic forces generated by the subwoofer and the weight of the satellite speaker, preventing bending or failure.

By using the SPM300 pole with the DLM12S, users can elevate their main speakers, improving high-frequency projection over an audience and freeing up valuable floor space. This setup creates a coherent point-source sound system that is easier to transport, faster to set up, and delivers superior audio coupling compared to placing speakers on separate stands. The SPM300 is a essential, reliability-focused hardware component for anyone building a professional, integrated portable PA system around Mackie's DLM series subwoofers.
