Magenta HD-One DX-500 HDMI Receiver

The Magenta HD-One DX500 HDMI Receiver is a professional signal-extension receiver designed to deliver high-definition HDMI video and embedded audio over a single Category cable. As part of the HD-One DX500 system, it is intended for commercial AV installations where HDMI signals need to travel substantially farther than conventional HDMI cabling allows. The receiver supports HDCP-compliant HDMI/DVI video and is designed for dependable operation in professional environments.

The DX500 system supports resolutions up to WUXGA 1920 x 1200 at 60 Hz and can extend signals up to 500 feet (152 meters) using a suitable CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6a, CAT6e, or CAT7 UTP, STP, or FTP cable. Magenta recommends CAT6 or better cable with solid 24 AWG copper conductors when maximum resolution and transmission distance are required.

For audio, the receiver carries audio embedded within the HDMI signal, supporting formats including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. The receiver provides an HDMI Type A output, an RJ45 network-cable input, and a DC power connection, allowing the unit to receive the extended signal and deliver it directly to a compatible display.

The compact metal enclosure is designed for professional installation and includes an integrated mounting flange. Operating temperature is specified from 0°C to 55°C, with humidity tolerance up to 95% non-condensing. The DX500 receiver is suitable for digital signage, education, retail, security, home theater, museums, and other commercial AV applications requiring long-distance HDMI extension.
