The Magenta Research Mondo TC (Touch Control) is a dedicated 3RU rack-mountable touch-screen controller engineered specifically to manage the Magenta Mondo Matrix III crosspoint switching platform. While frequently referenced as a 6-inch panel, the display is actually a 7-inch, 800x480 resolution LCD. It serves as the primary local user interface for executing complex video, audio, and serial signal routing without requiring an external PC or a third-party automation system like AMX or Crestron.

Because large-scale Mondo Matrix III systems can scale up to massive 256x512 I/O configurations, the panel utilizes a self-configuring architecture. When connected to the master switch chassis via a standard DB9 null-modem serial cable, it instantly reads the current hardware footprint. This allows a technician to custom-label inputs and outputs, perform breakaway routing (switching audio or data independently of the video feed), and save complex zone-based presets directly to an onboard SD card.
